For Philip Guston - Morton Feldman
arranged for saxophones, electric guitar and percussion by Koryfe Trio
Morton Feldmans ‘For Philip Guston’ has been a defining influence in Koryfe Trios artistic identity. Through their own arrangement of the piece, they open up a new perspective and soundworld without loosing touch with the subtle and intimate carachter of Feldmans music. They performed the piece in 2025 at Interpuls Festival in Oslo, and are planning a CD-release in 2026.

About
Koryfe Trio is Oslo-based ensemble that has been working together since 2020 with the goal of performing and developing new music alongside historical avant-garde music. Koryfe seeks exceptional musical expressions and aims to create concert experiences that expand everyday encounters. They interpret music where the artistic ideas are diverse and pushed to their extremes, and through this, the ensemble strives to create unique cultural gathering points, where ideas are shared, perceptions are challenged, and art is experienced. They have premiered music by composers such as Jon-Øivind Ness, Martin Korsletten, Thoralf Nørbech, Benjamin Knudsen, and Fredrik Storsveen.
